Serengeti Sojourn
This elite tented camp moves twice a year within Tanzania's flagship conservation area, Serengeti National Park, to follow the annual Wildebeest Migration. From June to October, Serengeti Sojourn is set in the Lobo area: a highly exclusive slice of the Serengeti with few other camps around, and near the Grumeti and Mara Rivers – the stages for the Migration's action-packed river crossings. From mid-December to March, this camp is perched on top of a hill in the Ndutu region, a superb vantage point with sweeping views of Lake Ndutu that allows you to watch the herds as they graze, rut and calve.
Serengeti Sojourn offers a thrilling taste of Africa to both adults and children. The camp's Rafiki Explorer Club offers added value to families travelling with children between the ages of six and 15 (‘rafiki' means ‘friend' in Swahili). Children can become members of this fun club to keep them entertained and learn about the African bush during their stay.
Other than witnessing the soul-stirring Wildebeest Migration, you can also enjoy daily game drives in an area known for exceptional sightings of buffalo, elephant, giraffe and the famous big cats of ‘The Land that Moves on Forever’.
