I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and lived there for 15 years before making the move down to Cape Town – where I’ve been ever since! I have travelled a fair bit with my family over the years. My mom worked for a Portuguese airline, so we travelled internationally and within South Africa. I’ve had the ‘travel bug' ever since – it’s what led me to study Tourism and Events at Stellenbosch University before working as a consultant and travel expert in 2011. I have been at Go2Africa since August 2018 and going strong.
Two moments stick out for me, the first was watching a pride of lionesses take down a zebra in South Africa’s Kapama Private Game Reserve. The second was flying over the Delta when we couldn't go to our lodge due to a fire, the lodge organised a helicopter for us to one of their sister lodges, and that was such an incredible experience.
Organising a honeymoon for a client and the bride was unaware of all the details as to where they were going. They did a lovely 4-night safari in the Kruger and we arranged also a private dinner out in the bush with a sleep out under the stars.
On game drives, the back row is normally the bumpiest so try and get the front seats.
An ideal honeymoon combination: enjoy both the bush and the beach. Track the Big 5 in a private concession adjoining the Kruger National Park.
Explore a private reserve in the malaria-free Marakele National Park. Delight in the food, wine & history in Franschhoek.
An exclusive safari journey featuring luxury accommodations. Combination of Southern and East Africa – the best of both worlds.
