Nancy Okeyo

Africa Safari Expert

Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, I have always been surrounded by the beauty of Africa's landscapes and wildlife. Since joining Go2Africa, I have developed my expertise in crafting unforgettable safari experiences, ensuring each trip is tailored to my clients' unique preferences. My deep knowledge of East and Southern Africa allows me to design itineraries that showcase the best of each destination, from the vast Serengeti plains to the stunning Cape Winelands. Whether it's a luxury honeymoon, a family safari, or a thrilling adventure, I take pride in creating seamless and memorable journeys, bringing my clients' dreams to life and ensuring they return with incredible stories and lifelong memories.

Soulful Safari Reflection

There's something truly magical about being in the heart of the African wilderness, where time slows down, and nature takes centre stage. One of my most unforgettable moments was during a safari in Naboisho Conservancy in the Maasai Mara at sunrise. As the golden light spilled across the plains, a pride of lions emerged from the tall grass, their breath visible in the cool morning air. Watching them interact, playful cubs tumbling over each other while the lionesses kept a watchful eye, was a humbling reminder of the raw beauty of the wild. Moments like these, where nature unfolds in its purest form, are why I love what I do—crafting safaris that leave a lasting imprint on the soul.

Most Memorable Experience Organised for a Client

One of the most memorable journeys I've organised was for a couple celebrating their 25th anniversary, seeking luxury, adventure, and cultural immersion. Their adventure began in Rwanda at Bisate Wilderness, where they trekked to see gorillas and connected with the local community. In Tanzania, they stayed at Usawa Serengeti, witnessing the Great Migration and enjoying a private bush dinner. In Northern Kenya, they explored Laikipia from Segera, experiencing helicopter excursions and diverse wildlife. Their journey ended in the Seychelles, unwinding in a beachfront villa with spa treatments and sunset cruises. They called it “the most magical experience of their lives,” a testament to the power of seamless, thoughtful travel planning.

My Best African Travel Advice

Choose quality over quantity. Instead of rushing through multiple destinations, spend more time in fewer places to truly soak in the experience. And most importantly, trust your travel planner to craft the perfect itinerary and your guide to bring it to life – their knowledge and instincts will lead you to magical encounters you'd never find on your own. Whether it's your first safari or your tenth, Africa always has something new to offer so take it slow and enjoy the adventure!
