While originally from Durban, I relocated to Gauteng at a young age and established roots in Pretoria, otherwise known as the Jacaranda City. After completing both my secondary and tertiary education in Pretoria, I embarked on an enriching experience in the United States, participating in a hotelier internship at the Ritz Carlton Naples, Florida.Upon returning to South Africa, I seized the opportunity to join Singita Private Game Reserves and became relief Camp Manager at Singita Ebony, Boulders, and Castleton.

I then pursed my dream of moving to Cape Town and subsequently became a Western Cape Tour Guide. From there, I continued to explore the Western Cape and South Africa, eventually leading to my role as an Africa Safari Expert.Today, I thrive off sharing my passion, curating safari itineraries across the continent, focusing on luxury safari destinations and incredible experiences. I have now visited over 15 countries on the continent and have a goal to explore many more in the years to come.

Soulful Safari Reflection

Safari experiences are deeply personal, awakening the senses and fostering a connection with one’s innermost self. During my safaris, I’ve been fortunate to witness extraordinary wildlife sightings, yet it’s the people I encounter who truly touch my heart. Engaging with locals immersed in the safari lifestyle is humbling, offering insights into slowing down, being mindful, and contributing positively to our surroundings.

Most Memorable Experience Organised for a Client

One of the most memorable experiences I organized for a client was for a couple on a trip where the man planned to propose to his girlfriend. We arranged a romantic night under the stars in Botswana with a surprise sleep-out experience. The girlfriend had no prior knowledge of this plan and, after their safari adventure, she was surprised with a private starbed in the bushveld, surrounded by lanterns and the African wilderness. It was an incredibly romantic setting and really heartwarming to be a part of helping to plan such a special moment.

My Best African Travel Advice

Here's my top African travel advice: while on safari, don't just focus on the well-known Big Five and predators. Take delight in observing and identifying various bird species and insects too. These creatures are often overlooked in the excitement of spotting lions or elusive leopards, but they can add a unique and rewarding dimension to your safari experience.
