Gillian Veldsman

About me

I was born in Cape Town but grew up in the North West Province where I completed my schooling, returning to The Mother City when I started varsity. I studied Organisational Psychology at the University of Cape Town and then started a career in Human Resources. I am passionate about making a difference in the lives of others however small it may be. I also love seeing others achieve their goals and dreams!

My husband and I have two little princesses who keep us busy, so I love being pampered, being outdoors, spending time with my family and seeing and experiencing new places.

Where have I travelled?

Locally I’ve visited much of South Africa, including the Northern Cape, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu Natal, the North West Province, Gauteng, Sun City and Pilanesberg National Park.

I’ve also travelled to Botswana, Tanzania and Zanzibar.

My favourite travel moment

It has to be lazing in a hammock on a beach in Zanzibar – heaven!

What I love about Africa

I love Africa’s amazing beauty, the friendly people and the rich cultures.

Where I’d love to go next

I’d love to visit Mauritius and Kenya and also do a trip to Europe.
