Dunia Camp, the first exclusively female-run camp, is an intimate tented mobile camp perfectly located not only to catch the Wildebeest Migration but also for excellent game viewing in the central and southern Serengeti. Set near the striking Moru Kopjes and overlooking the wide open Serengeti plains, the annual Migration passes through the area, attracting the attention of big cats such as lion, leopard and cheetah. The camp’s excellent location near a rhino conservation area means that you are able to view these majestic animals while staying at Dunia.

The structure of the camp and its attention to detail enables Dunia Camp to offer a classic safari experience. There is plenty of comfort and when you are not enjoying your tent, enjoy all the thrills of guided half day or full day game drives exploring the region in search of the Serengeti’s spectacular wildlife.

Standard Tent

Dunia Camp offers luxurious and elegantly furnished tents featuring wooden floors and en suite bathrooms. Spacious verandahs with outdoor lounges allow you to look across the plains of the Serengeti and the nearby Moru Kopjes.

Family Tent - Silver

The Family Tent features a main room with a king-sized bed and a separate smaller room with two single beds, each offering an en-suite bathroom with a flush toilet and plumbed shower. Both rooms share a spacious veranda overlooking the kopjes.

General Facilities

After a day of game viewing, you can enjoy board games, swap stories with fellow travelers around the fire, or curl up with a book when back at camp. The camp also offers laundry assistance, and each room is equipped with electrical outlets to keep your devices charged.

Dunia Camp offers excellent dining in its elegant dining tent, although you will also want to feast on bush dinners and alfresco breakfasts with views of the Serengeti plains. Refreshing sundowner drinks are served at scenic spots while on late afternoon game drives.

    My favorite was Dunia Camp, the staff and guide were the absolute best – so warm and friendly. They did an excellent job keeping you safe – for 2 nights they had to drive us right up to the door, because of buffalo one night and about twenty elephants the second night! That was exciting.

    The highlight resort of our trip was Dunia Camp, their attention to detail was the best of all the resorts. We requested to have more local food and what we were provided was fantastic and delicious! Our daughter became a bit ill and the camp manager was able to obtain the proper medicine that my husband (an MD) had asked for. We were very grateful and impressed at their ability to help and do their jobs so well!

    We loved Dunia Camp – the ladies treated us so well, even setting up a private candlelit dinner in the bush on our last night. Across the two locations, we saw the big 5 plus so many more animals. The grasses were high in the Serengeti but we spotted the big cats in trees on a few occasions.

On our last night at Dunia, they set up a special dinner for just the two of us in the bush, away from the other guests and treated us like royalty – it was incredible.

    Set close to the Moru Kopjes with views onto the open Serengeti Dunia is a great option for central and southern Serengeti. I particularly enjoyoed the views onto the plains – here you can see animals all year round and wildebeest during the migration!

    Dunia was special because of it’s location and living in a tent. We even woke up in the night by the lions roaring next to the tent. I celebrated my birthday in a very special and memorable way. The food at Dunia was really good and it is amazing with a camp so far from everything.
