We’re excited to open applications for an apprentice baker to join the team at our Roath bakery. This is an opportunity for those who liked to be challenged and grow with the support of a hands on management team.

We are lead by an experienced and creative team dedicated to only most delicious bakes! Our workshop bakery in the heart of Roath on Moy Road where we make a range of artisan goods- all of which you’ll learn to make by hand over a year long apprenticeship.

You can expect a comfortable work life balance with day time operating hours. We don’t do any night baking but shifts do start early so you must be able to get to work for a 4am on occasion.

As an apprentice you’ll not be expected to have a range of baking skills before you apply- that’s what we’re going to help you with! What we do look for in an apprentice is reliability, maturity and ability to engage well with your colleagues and customers alike.

We make everything from croissant dough to brioche buns so you must be prepared to learn and focus your attention on the task at hand.

Apprenticeships are provided in conjunction Cambrian Training and last approximately 1 year. £6.50/ hour. It is possible to do the apprenticeships part time, please let us know if that’s what you’d prefer.
