Cleaopatra’s (locally known as The Fat Farm!) was definitely an experience and I would love to take a helicopter flight over the mountains sometime.

Can you believe that our next door neighbours were staying at Cleopatra’s the same nights as us!!! We only found out three days before we departed and neither of us knew that we were going to SA – it’s a small world.
The trip was fantastic – everything went to plan.

This was a pleasant drive and we found the Cleopatra Mountain Farmhouse quite easily. We didn’t realize this was a gourmet’s paradise. The food was interesting and very well presented (just far too much) The other guests all seemed to be hoteliers and restaurateurs which made us feel a little inadequate! It seemed a little impersonal as we all sat in couples, tables were all for two and there was little opportunity to get to know other guests. Our suite was getting a bit tired and could do with a facelift but it was comfortable and clean. That all sounds a bit negative but we did have a great time and we enjoyed walks in the mountains including to some fascinating bushman paintings.
