Excellent hotel with great service.
Chitwa Chitwa was so much more than we could have imagined!! Everything from the service and the meals at the lodge to the game drives were fantastic. The room and deck were great for afternoon downtime. Just sitting and watching the animals come down to the lake for a drink was such a great experience.
The game drives cannot be described in words! We saw all of the Big Five in one day. Every drive was a different experience. We also had two rare sightings – a cheetah and a mama leopard and baby, which our tracker located by sighting its tiny paw print in the dirt along the road. Thank you for steering us in the right direction.
After enjoying a final breakfast at the Queen Victoria Hotel, meet your driver for a road transfer to Cape Town International Airport for your flight to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport – the gateway to Kruger National Park! On arrival at this charming airport, board a smaller aircraft to fly to the nearby airstrip of the stunning Chitwa Chitwa Game Lodge.
Nestled in the wildlife-rich Sabi Sands Private Reserve, this lodge offers a front-row seat to some of the best Big Five sightings, with a particularly high chance of spotting leopards and lions. You may even have the thrill of encountering endangered species like wild dogs and spotted hyenas.
Upon arrival at the lodge, enjoy a refreshing welcome drink as the friendly staff introduces you to your surroundings. Settle into your luxurious suite and let the tranquil bushveld wash away the stresses of daily life. Here, there's no traffic noise—just the soothing sounds of the wilderness and the occasional quiet visit from an elephant grazing nearby.
The next three days promise unforgettable experiences: thrilling morning and evening game drives, close encounters with extraordinary wildlife, delectable meals, festive boma dinners under the stars, and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets that capture the magic of the African bush.
