5. Botswana

We went to Mauritius in April/May. This was a great time to be there because it's just after the rainy season but still warm. Generally, the southern hemisphere winter season (about June to September) is best but avoid the east coast during July and August as it can be windy. I loved the diving, even though we were on the cusp of the season in terms of visibility. Activities like catamaran cruises with gorgeous sunsets and relaxing spa treatments were really some of my favourite moments in Mauritius.
